Ted Foley (Managing Director)
A graduate of UCC (B. Comm), Ted has worked in the Financial Services sector ( Accountancy, Taxation and Banking) for over 30 years. He spent 8 years with ICC (Ireland’s Development Bank) before moving to AIB in 1988. He held a number of senior positions in AIB, including Regional Director Cork, before taking early retirement in 2010. Ted joined the Epi-Light team as Managing Director earlier this year.
Tom O’Brien (C.T.O)
Tom is a co-founder of Epi-Light
Tom has a BSc from Dublin City University, as well as diplomas in electronic and mechanical engineering, with further qualifications in project management, production management and semiconductor processing. Tom has many years international experience in the Semiconductor industry, Electronics manufacturing, Pharmaceutical equipment and photonics devices. Tom has completed several development projects from concept to commercialization including illumination devices, vision system integration and large scale automation equipment. As Epi-Light CTO Tom has responsibility for Epi-Light product design and development.
Ian O’Callaghan (Commercial Manager)
Ian’s background is in Management Consultancy (Andersen) and he has worked extensively in the U.S. and Ireland in industries ranging from Consumer Electronics to Energy. Ian has also worked (2003 – 2006) as Strategic Projects Manager for the SWS Group across their Corporate Finance, Energy and Outsourcing Divisions. Since 2006 Ian has worked as Commercial Manager for the Ofactum Group (www.ofactum.com)
Ian has a Bachelor of Commerce (University College Cork) and a Masters in Executive Leadership.(University of Ulster).
Niall Bolster (Director of Sales)
Niall graduated from the University of Limerick with a B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering. Niall gained 15 years valuable engineering experience in Europe in the Automotive Industry specialising in Vehicle Crashworthiness and Occupant Safety, working for International Automotive Design (France), Daewoo Motor Company (UK) and finally Advanced Car Technology Systems (Germany). Niall returned to Ireland in 2007 to take up a Sales Management role in the Machine Vision Industry with StockerYale. A B2B Sales professional with expertise in managing key accounts and establishing customer relationships, Niall joined the Epi-Light team to lead the Sales & Marketing for the next phase of growth in today’s global markets.
